| I have decided to sell my 1992 Hobie Turbo 14, including trailer. An extremely nice, well maintained boat with brand new black mesh trampoline, new sheets, very good sails, new carbon fiber tiller and trapeze system. It is ready to sail and can be on the water in the time it takes to set it up. The 14 Turbo has a jib sail on a roller furling. Fiberglass (white) is in excellent condition. and all fittings are tight. Sails are near perfect too (except for stain on jib) - kept inside in climate controlled conditions when not in use. My problem...at a weight of 210 and height of 6'3", I'm too large for this boat. The first time I sailed it, I found myself sinking the hulls too far in the water. Ideal weight would be anywhere from 155 to 175 lbs. This is a fast boat for a lighter person. I bought it from a sailing friend who got transferred and went over it completely...anything that showed wear was replaced! I'm asking $1500 for boat and trailer, but that might be negotiable. All complete and clear titles on boat and trailer. |
